Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the RewardRoute mobile application (the “App”) provided by RewardRoute (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Service Description

RewardRoute is a credit card reward optimization tool. The App connects to your financial accounts via Plaid, analyzes your spending patterns, and provides personalized recommendations for which credit card to use to maximize rewards. All financial analysis is performed on your device.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the App. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. User Accounts

You may need to create an account using Firebase Authentication to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality or servers
  • Use the App to collect data about other users
  • Misrepresent your identity or provide false information
  • Use automated means to access the App without our permission

5. Financial Information Disclaimer

RewardRoute does not provide financial advice. The App provides informational recommendations based on publicly available credit card reward structures and your spending data. These recommendations are not financial, investment, or tax advice. You should consult with a qualified financial advisor before making financial decisions.

We make reasonable efforts to keep reward category information accurate, but credit card issuers may change their reward structures at any time. We are not responsible for discrepancies between our recommendations and actual rewards earned.

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Plaid (for financial data access) and Firebase (for authentication). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and content, is owned by RewardRoute and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content or recommendations will be accurate, reliable, or complete.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RewardRoute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. You may delete your account through the App’s Settings screen, which will remove all associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
